The 3rd Summer School on "Functionality of Correlated Materials" will take place in Frauenwoerth im Chiemsee, 24 - 28 June 2019. The tutorials and lectures will cover the broad research field of the Transregio 80.

In continuation of the successful first two Summer Schools in 2012 and 2015 the topics of the 3rd Summer School will cover electronic correlations and magnetism in bulk materials, e.g. multiferroics, skyrmions, spintronics and frustrated materials. The lectures will include experimental and theoretical techniques. The "Density Functional Theory" (DFT) method is presented in focus, with tutorials and practical courses for the students.

The Summer School is aimed at Master and PhD students as well as PostDocs within the Transregio 80 and the Associated Partners.
